For many years now I have been known to go over the top with the Elf on the Shelf every holiday season. From zany, to crazy, silly, and even naughty you name it our elf has done it. You can even find some of my favorite by clicking HERE. But, this year is different. Now, that my son is 8 and can pretty much remember everything the elf has done in the past, I am out of ideas, a little dare I say tired of the elf but, also looking for a way to spread some holiday cheer. Which is where I came up with the idea for "The Santa Smiles Mission".
Here is how it works; On the first morning that the elf arrives at your house he will bring along a note like the printable one found by HERE (just write in your child's name, age, and sign your elves name). The Note will be from your Elf and Santa explaining that they have been given a mission this holiday season. Your child is now in charge of spreading "Santa Smiles." Each and every night when the elf flies back to the North Pole Santa will give your Elf a new mission to bring back to your child. When your Child wakes up in the morning he/she will find the Elf in a new spot (yes you still have to move it) with a New Mission (Act of Kindness) to complete that day.
That's It Hook, Line, and Sinker Kids will be spreading Kindness this holiday season and sharing Smiles all month Long!
This holiday season many of the mom's from my son's class are excited to promote The Santa Smiles Mission and we will all be having our elf bring the same mission each school night. We are hoping the kids talk about it at school and kindness catches on to other kids, and so on, and so on.
