Super-sized Playground Coming to Brandon

Paul Sanders Park Gets Upgrade - Closed Feb. 1 to March 31

By Hillsborough County January 13, 2017
Hillsborough County is upgrading and expanding what already is one of its largest and most heavily used playgrounds.

The makeover at Paul Sanders Park, 602 W. Bloomingdale Ave. in Brandon, will replace virtually all of the playground equipment, and add additional play structures. The equipment includes traditional swings and slides along with next-generation playground equipment that encourages children to climb, run, and play.

The new playground will use engineered wood fiber in an improved playground surfacing system that is designed to be enjoyed by children of all abilities.

The $315,000 project also includes renovating the restrooms, repaving the parking lot, adding sidewalks, and creating an additional entrance to improve traffic flow.

The park will be closed to the public from Feb. 1 to March 31 while work is underway.
