Joyful Blessings - Local Mom Pays It Forward

Adorable Capes & More For Your Little Superhero!

May 30, 2013
My name is Melanie and I am the owner of Joyful Blessings.

I am a stay at home mom of three amazing children. Two of my three children have special needs. My oldest daughter is on the autism spectrum and my middle son has Down syndrome.  We have frequent visits to doctors and hospitals like most special needs families. I was raised to pay it forward, always. That has been my philosophy my entire life. One day after reading through some Down syndrome blogs, I thought to myself, "I want to brighten this child's day... and this child... and this child. But how?"

And so, Joyful Blessings was born.

What we do at Joyful Blessings is a “pay it forward” system. I currently sell handmade items that are customized and sewn just for you! And 100% of the profit goes into an account that offers freebies for kids who are frequently hospitalized, are currently in the hospital or have some sort of special need and need a pick me up.

Parents who have a child in need fill out a form, it gets sent to me and I sew up an item for them and ship it out. Absolutely free, no strings attached.

I make Custom Pillow Cases, Scented Hot/Cold Packs, Superhero Capes, Place Mats, Custom Shirts, Crayon Rolls Ups, Blankets and much more!

Donations are accepted as well. We are currently accepting donations of cotton fabrics, threads, ribbon and heat n bond. PayPal donations or gift cards are also accepted.

You can find more about Joyful Blessings on their Facebook Page and see more creations in their Etsy store.
