Love fostering your kids' creativity, but don't love the mess?

We recently had the opportunity to check out American Greetings' FREE iPad app Creatacard Card Maker. This is a fun little app where kids can design their own cards. You can then choose to have your child's artwork printed as a real paper greeting card. For $3.49, about the cost of a store bought greeting card without postage, American Greetings will print your card and mail it anywhere in the world! Pretty cool!

There are TONS of tools for designing your card: pastels, markers, stickers & stamps and more! There is even an option to add your own photos. I think it is pretty neat that my kids, ages 3, 5 & 9, were all able to use this app to create a personalized card using the tools in their own way! Both the inside and outside of the card can be personalized and you can add customized text.

If you'd like an even easier way to create your own personalized card, check out the Pick-A-Card option. There are a variety of card templates, you just add your own text or photos. They even have templates featuring popular characters like Strawberry Shortcake™, Thomas the Tank Engine, Hello Kitty® and more! What 2-year-old wouldn't like a birthday card featuring her own picture next to Abby Cadabby?

Each card has a “Made By” spot to sign on the back. Kids can also track their card's journey using the “Where’s My Card?” option.

I think that this app is a great idea as I've always been a fan of homemade cards. I can definitely see my family using the Creatacard app to send cards to friends and family members rather than buying and mailing regular store bought cards. I love that it's a more personalized option, plus I won't have to search around for a stamp :)

I received compensation for this review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
