September 27, 2014 is Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day Live! This is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian Media in which participating museums across the country open their doors for free to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! Ticket.
The Museum Day Live! Ticket provides free admission for two people. Some things you need to know:
- You can receive one ticket per household, good for admission for two people.
- A ticket will gain entry in only one participating museum. Parking and special events or exhibits are not included.
- You can do a search by location on their website.
- ONLY an official Museum Day Live! ticket is eligible for free entry. To get yours, just visit the TICKETS section of the website, answer a few questions, and your ticket will be emailed to you ... it's that easy!
- Participating family-friendly museums in our area include Explorations V, Tampa Museum of Art, Florida Railroad Museum, and more!
