Brickworld coming to Florida State Fairgrounds, October 25 & 26

October 16, 2014
Brickworld is excited to be bringing the premiere North American LEGO® display and exposition to the Florida State Fairgrounds in what we hope becomes an annual event. The event is 40,000 square feet of displays made of LEGO bricks, interactive activities and vendors selling LEGO kits, parts and compatible accessories. When asked how he would describe Brickworld events to someone that hasn’t attended, Event Organizer, Bryan Bonahoom, said “The displays at the event are simply inspiring to see. They are all made from the world’s most flexible art medium – the LEGO brick. And, they represent the phenomenal creativity of the artists and engineers that are displaying their hobby for all to see.” Brickworld displays include trains, robots, cityscapes, space stations, and much more. Bryan also added “We are excited to bring one of our shows to Florida. Florida has LEGOLAND®. But, this is different and the LEGO creations are much more detailed because they don’t have to withstand the weather like the displays at LEGOLAND.”

Brickworld showcases many local LEGO artists and engineers from the state of Florida through a partnership with the Greater Florida LEGO Train Club and the Orange County LEGO User Group. There are also displays coming from as far away as Toronto, Canada and Boston, MA. These displays are invited because they are crowd favorites and award winning creations from other Brickworld events.

The LEGO brick is widely recognized as one of the most educational toys in the world. At Brickworld, kids of all ages can witness an incredible variety of ways to use the brick for art and engineering applications. Using the LEGO brick exercises creativity, engineering skills and hand-eye coordination.
