Macaroni Review: CastLite™ Non-Stick Cast Iron Cookware

Cuisinart Hearts The Holidays

November 20, 2014
I make scrambled eggs for breakfast almost every day, so I was excited to test out Cuisinart's CastLite™ Non-Stick Cast Iron Cookware. I tested out the 12" Fry Pan w/Helper.

The pan is lighter than any other cast iron cookware I've tried before. Also, it has a super-slick non-stick coating. You cooks out there are going to cringe as I tell you that I pretty much ruined my old cast iron pan when I SOAKED it in water. This pan is different. You can actually... wait for it... put it in the DISHWASHER!

I am no master cook, but I do make scrambled eggs almost every single morning. I usually use cooking spray, but I decided to really test the non-stick coating on this pan by not using it. The eggs came out perfect! They were't browned or stuck to the pan, just light and fluffy.

It's a nice large pan and it really does seem to cook evenly. This would be great for cooking up holiday meals for your family or guests. It also just might make the perfect gift for the chef in your life.
