If you go to any of these farms or "like" their Facebook pages, it would be FANTASTIC if you let them know that Macaroni Kid Brandon sent you :)

Spivey Farms 6101 County Road 39 Plant City, FL *Some GPS's have a difficult time finding our farm. We ARE NOT on McDonald Sloan Road. That is a private residence on that road. We are located just to the south of the Hopewell Funeral Home, right on County Road 39. (813)650-8999 Facebook :a strawberry and tomato farm located in Plant City, Florida. We grow strawberries during the winter season and cherry and grape tomatoes in the fall and spring season. We charge 2 quarts for $1.00 on our strawberries (cash only please) Our hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday-Saturday and 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday. "As they say in life, all good things must come to an end at some point. The u-pick strawberry season will end at Spivey Farms March 22nd. The heat has worked on the fields and we don't feel that the berries will be of quality after the 22nd." 3/16/15

Jordan Farms 3243 Mott Rd, Dover, Florida 33527 Facebook
Certified organic since 2000
For strawberries and veggies, we're open everyday from 9-3. I am pretty sure that there are blueberries here too, but I think it's a different owner.
"Open for Upick
• Our hours are 8:30 am-3 pm daily.
• Our price is $1.50 per quart.
• Bring your own container (empty gallon jugs i.e. milk, etc.). Remember that berries are very fragile. If you pile many pounds in a large container, the bottom ones will be mush. Plastic grocery bags are not good containers.
• Cardboard strawberry flat boxes are available for $1 each. These boxes are stackable and hold approx. 8 lbs. each.
• If you have never pick strawberries before remember that you’re in Florida and the sun gets really hot. The best time for you and the berries is early morning. You should wear a hat and protect your skin with clothing and or suntan lotion. Bring and drink plenty of liquids.
• We can have berries picked for you, but ask us a day in advance. We don’t have refrigeration and want your strawberries to be fresh. $20/flat" 3/23/15
