This cute cake is perfect for Easter or anytime this spring! It is a big hit with both kids and adults.
Ingredients:
- Box cake mix (and ingredients called for on box)
- Food coloring
- Frosting (homemade or store-bought)
- Bunny Peeps in assorted colors
- Jelly beans, candy-coated chocolate eggs, or any other cake decorations you desire!
Directions:
- Mix cake ingredients as directed on box.
- Separate batter to make two 8" or 9" round cakes.
- Color each layer of cake with food coloring (we did one blue and one green).
- Bake cake as directed and let cool.
- Layer cakes on top of each other with a layer of frosting in-between. (You may need to cut off the top of the bottom layer so the top one lays flat.)
- Cover entire cake with frosting.
- Place alternating colored Peeps around the sides of cake.
- Decorate top of cake with remaining candy treats.
- Enjoy!
