CANDIQUIK is a naturally flavored chocolate or vanilla candy coating that is SUPER easy to use. Just put the Melt & Make™ Microwaveable Tray in the microwave, heat for ~60 seconds and it's ready to use. That's it! Seriously!
I LOVE baking and making treats, so I was excited to give CANDIQUIK a try. I chose a few recipes from their website and got to work.
First up-- vanilla dipped blueberries. I put the Melt & Make™ Microwaveable Tray in the microwave for 60 seconds and added the optional 15. The candy coating was perfectly melted as promised! I made about a half of a pint of blueberries and then the coating got a little clumpy. I later realized that I had rinsed the blueberries, but not properly dried them. Too much moisture or water will make the coating look a bit clumpy. It did not affect the taste though-- every one of those vanilla blueberries was delicious! When I made grape poppers, I made sure that I thoroughly dried the grapes and did NOT have any problems with clumping. Problem solved!
I was excited to taste the chocolate coating and was pleasantly surprised. There wasn't any kind of waxy taste or flavor, it tasted like good quality chocolate! Making chocolate covered pretzels was a breeze: lay out the pretzels on wax paper and drizzle over the pretzels with a fork.
My favorite (and the easiest) thing I made with CANDIQUIK was chocolate and vanilla covered marshmallows. I honestly think it took less than 10 minutes start to finish. All I did was melt the CANDIQUIK, dip the marshmallows, place them on wax paper and then add a few sprinkles to the wet candy coating. The results were beautiful, delicious... and QUICK!
