This past weekend, my family donned our comfiest walking shoes and headed to Brick Fan Expo in Tampa — and let me tell you, if you have LEGO® lovers in your house, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

From the moment we walked through the doors, we were surrounded by colorful creations, bustling building tables, and more LEGO® bricks than I’ve stepped on or vacuumed up in my entire parenting career.

One of my favorite parts as a mom? The whole event was hands-on. Kids can:
- Build and race their own LEGO® cars
- Add their creations to community builds
- Try out cool brick-building challenges
- Play in giant brick pits/soft play areas

I loved seeing so many other parents down on the floor, building right alongside their kids. It felt like a huge, happy, brick-loving family.
In every section of the room, there was something to make you stop and say, “Whoa, look at that!” From working trains to television and movie characters, from cityscapes to vintage furniture creations, there was a little bit of everything. Even creations from LEGO Masters themselves.

Your next chance to visit Brick Fan Expo will be October 4-5 in Orlando. Or, if you’re thinking about going to the Tampa Brick Fan Expo next year, here are a few mom-approved tips:
- Buy tickets early — Time slots can sell out fast.
- Wear comfy shoes — There’s a lot to see and do.
- Bring a water bottle — All that building is thirsty work.
- Plan for a souvenir — The vendor area is full of unique sets and rare pieces your kids will beg for.
Brick Fan Expo in Tampa was a day where our family got to play, create, and imagine together. Whether your kids are casual builders or master creators, there’s something magical about walking into a place where creativity runs wild and everyone speaks the language of LEGO®.
