By Amanda Swank, publisher of MacaroniKID Brandon March 17, 2026

If you’re looking for something unique, educational, and truly memorable to do with your family, Titanic: An Immersive Voyage is absolutely worth adding to your list.

My family recently had the opportunity to attend, and it was such a cool experience from start to finish!

Step Into History

From the moment you walk in, you’re transported back in time to the story of the RMS Titanic. The exhibit does a fantastic job of blending history with immersive storytelling, allowing visitors to explore what life was like aboard the ship.

You’ll find:

  • Real artifacts connected to the Titanic
  • Detailed recreations of rooms and spaces
  • Interactive displays that help bring the story to life
  • A VR experience of diving to see the Titanic wreckage

The exhibit features over 100 artifacts and immersive galleries that walk you through the ship’s journey—from construction to its tragic final moments.

A Highlight: The Virtual Reality Experience

One of the most unforgettable parts of our visit was the virtual reality experience.

This add-on allows you to “dive” more than two miles beneath the ocean surface to explore the wreckage of the Titanic. It’s incredibly immersive and gives you a perspective you can’t get from photos or videos.

My family thought this was one of the coolest parts of the entire exhibit! We definitely recommend adding this on if you're visiting the museum.

Movie Fans Will Love This Too

In addition to historical elements, there are features and visuals that fans of the Titanic movie will recognize and enjoy.

The exhibit blends:

  • Real history
  • Dramatic storytelling
  • Visual elements that feel cinematic

It makes the experience engaging for both kids and adults.

Family-Friendly and Educational

This exhibit is great for families with school-aged kids. It’s:

  • Educational without feeling boring
  • Interactive enough to keep kids engaged
  • Interesting for adults, too

Plan to spend about 30-60 minutes exploring, depending on how much time you take in each section.

Easy Location in Tampa

Another big plus—this exhibit is super easy to get to.

It’s conveniently located right on Dale Mabry Highway, just minutes from Raymond James Stadium (which we hadn't seen in person before, either, so that was a cool addition to our day!)

Don’t Skip the Gift Shop

Before you leave, be sure to stop by the gift shop! There’s a variety of Titanic-themed memorabilia available—perfect for kids who want a souvenir or for history lovers. My daughter left with an interactive book where she has to "escape the book". She's been reading and completing the activities in the book since we left.

We had such a great time experiencing Titanic: An Immersive Voyage as a family. It’s one of those outings that feels both fun and meaningful.

If your kids are curious about history—or you’re just looking for something different to do together—this exhibit is definitely worth checking out. Find more information about the exhibit here: https://expo-titanic.com/tampa/
